The Hyundai Accent has only been around for around 5 years now… and the 2015 is their fourth model ever created. This time around, Hyundai added in a few minor tweaks.
Most notably being its new grille, headlights, taillights and changes to the equipment. The Accent gives you a lot of bang for your buck and is rated 12 of 41 affordable small cars for 2015 by the U.S. News and World report publications.
It carries 5 passengers and is available as a sedan or hatchback. Being an entry-level car, it’s their east expensive model.
It’s offered at a very affordable price. And when you purchase a vehicle from Direct Auto Mall, you’re guaranteed to get the lowest prices on the market.
Here’s our 2015 Hyundai Accent review…
2015 Hyundai Accent Review
You definitely won’t hurt your pockets by purchasing the 2015 Hyundai Accent. It has a price between $15,000 andd $18,000. It pretty much beat all of the competition in terms of price except for the Honda and Kia Rio.
Other than that, it’s one of the most affordable subcompact cars that you can find!
2. Excellent Fuel Economy
The MPG of the Accent is 27-38 city-highway when it has the six-speed manual transmission. If it has the shiftable, six-speed automatic transmission, you’ll get an astonishing 26-34 MPG. There’s little difference if you choose the automatic… but it won’t be as fun as driving stick.
3. Powerful Acceleration
There’s only one engine available for the Hyundai Accent: a 137-horsepower, DOHC, 1.6-liter four cylinder engine that churns out 123 feet-pound of torque.
When using the six-speed manual or smooth shifting, the Accent provides strong acceleration. Same with its automatic counterpart.
It’s definitely not a sports car (even though there is a Sport trim level), the Accent provides amazing handling for a sub-compact car. The traction on it is amazing too, keeping a steady grip over the road.
4. Well Equipped
There’s only 3 trim levels available with only manual or automatic transmissions. That means the base model GLS sedan or GS hatchback are well-equipped.
They have 14-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, keyless entry and full power accessories. There’s also a tilt steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat with an armrest, trip computer and an AM/FM stereo with six speakers.
With the Popular and Style package, there’s cruise control, steering wheel mounted audio controls, 6-inch alloy wheels and rear disc brakes with upgraded cloth upholstery.
It’s classified as a sub-compact, but it still has the room of a compact car. The front buckets are supportive and roomy, the cabin is very nice and the interior’s finish is of very high quality. Overall, it’s very stylish and cozy.
When you’re driving the Hyundai Accent, you will notice that it’s very quiet on the road. The engine gets buzzy at high RPMs, but the overall noise of the road is quiet. You won’t be annoyed on your daily commute, that’s for sure.
7. Spacious Cabin
The size of the cabin is very big. In fact, you could comfortably fit 6-foot basketball players. There’s a lot of head and legroom, so that you won’t have to worry about being squished.
8. Roomy Cargo Space
If you plan on carting around a lot of goods, then you might find the Accent very attractive. Why? Well, the cargo space is above average. In the trunk, there’s 13.2 cubic foot capacity for the sedan. For the hatchback, there’s 21.2 cubic feet of space and 47.5 cubic feet with the seats down.
The four wheel drive anti-lock braking, stability, traction control and braking assist deliver a sturdy drive. Your Accent will keep a firm grip over the road… which… is especially helpful for winter driving.
The dual front mounted air bags, front and rear head airbags and headrests will keep you and your passenger’s safe in an accident.
